Import your library from Trakt

You already track movies and shows on Trakt. You should not have to type it all again. dejaVu imports history, ratings, watchlist, collection, and lists — movies and TV.

What gets imported

• Watch history (including rewatches)
• Ratings (movies, shows, episodes)
• Watchlist
• Collection
• Custom lists

Nothing is blindly overwritten: you pick which data types to bring over.

1. Create a dejaVu account

Go to dejaVu.plus and sign up. Free, no credit card.

2. Open the import wizard

Once you are signed in, open Import and choose Trakt. The wizard handles connection, then transfer.

3. Connect Trakt with a device code

dejaVu uses Trakt’s device code flow, the same idea as a TV app:

1. Click Connect to Trakt.
2. A code appears, with a URL (usually trakt.tv/activate).
3. Open that page, sign in to Trakt if needed, and enter the code.
4. Return to dejaVu: the connection confirms on its own, usually within a minute.

The code expires after a few minutes. If it is no longer valid, start the connection again.

4. Choose what to import

Tick only what you need. For a full move, take history + ratings + watchlist. Lists and collection can follow.

5. Let the import finish

A large TV history (many episodes) takes longer than movies alone. When it is done, open the dashboard: watch time, Up Next, and in-progress shows should match what you had on Trakt.

After the import

• Spot-check titles you know well (a rewatch, an episode rating).
• Connect Kodi if you already scrobble from the living room.
• You can disconnect Trakt afterward. You do not have to keep using it.
