Import from Letterboxd

Letterboxd is excellent for movies. If you want to keep that diary and add TV, dejaVu imports the Letterboxd export ZIP (diary, ratings, watchlist, reviews, lists).

What gets imported

• Custom lists

Letterboxd has no TV shows. For episode history, follow up with Trakt import or IMDb.

1. Export your Letterboxd data

1. Open letterboxd.com/settings/data/.
2. Click Export Your Data.
3. Download the ZIP. You do not need to extract it.

Letterboxd prepares the export; you may get an email with the file if the download is not instant.

2. Create a dejaVu account

Sign up at dejaVu.plus. Free, no card.

3. Drop the ZIP in the wizard

Sign in, open Import, choose Letterboxd, and drop the ZIP on the upload area. Individual CSVs work too; the ZIP is simpler.

Parsing happens in your browser: you get a preview (diary, ratings, lists) before anything is sent to dejaVu.

4. Choose what to import

Tick diary + ratings to recover your movie history. Add watchlist and lists if you still use them.

Confirm, then open the dashboard. Movies, ratings, and lists should be there.

Letterboxd does not track TV

That is often why people add a second app. After movies are in:

• Import Trakt if your shows already live there
• Import IMDb for movie + TV ratings and watchlists
• Track movies and shows in one place for Up Next, episodes, and scrobbling

You do not have to leave Letterboxd. dejaVu is the hub: rated movies on one side, TV on the other, one timeline.
